In-House Safety Training Update – WHMIS, Fall Protection, and Lift Awareness
Grand West Electric Ltd. staff recently completed a one day on-site session on WHMIS, Fall Protection Training, and Lift Awareness facilitated by their in-house safety committee and external safety consultant. Topics included controlled substance safe storage and usage regulations, Section 9 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and proper Don and Doff fall techniques. Instruction was also provided on fall protection plans and rescue techniques and basic inspection and proper usage of sky jack scissor lifts.
